LOOKING AHEAD

Image
LOOKING AHEAD      Have you ever considered studying the different ways that a story can end? I love looking at this at our actual end of the year together. From stories that set up a sequel to stories that leave us on a cliff hanger and stories that end with someone leaving or, there are so many different ways for stories to end. This sets us up to suggest to students the idea of choosing how they want things to end. How do they want their year to end?      For almost a year being in the 10 th Grade, I can finally say we are near in getting it done. I have learned a lot, not only in the aspect of academics but also in life. For how many years of being isolated and learning through online, we all took a brave step and brought back face-to-face classes. The first year of my junior high was amazing but then the unexpected, COVID-19 hits. So in the years of being in 8 th and 9 th grade, I didn’t felt it. It just past by like an F1 car. ...

DREAM UNTIL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE

DREAM UNTIL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE    Dreaming something does not make anyone delusional, it will just guide us to what path we shall take in the present to reach that goal in the future. In taking these paths, we don’t know what challenges come in the way but if a person have a positive mind-set, then i can certainly say that "its worth taking the risks". Where do I see myself in ten years? Thinking about this questions gave me a chance to analyze my goals and ambitions. In ten years, I know I want basic things of life, love, family, and happiness. Also with the opportunity to pursue my dreams.               The way i see myself ten years ahead of now is not something I often think about, in all honesty, it scares me a little to know that in one short decade I will be twenty-six years old. If God gives me the opportunity to get to that age, I will make most of my years and put all my effort to achieve my goals. In 10 years, I see mysel...

CHANGE: IT STARTS WITHIN OURSELVES

Image
CHANGE: IT STARTS WITHIN OURSELVES      Change is a fundamental aspect of life and it can certainly impact us as individual and as a society. Change is not easy. It comes slow, with risks, failures and criticism. And, it is often the fear of those that stops one from taking a step towards change. That first step is the hardest and scariest part of the process because it makes one vulnerable. But, it also opens doors for freedom and great opportunities. The decision to bring change is a tough one and staying on that path by actually putting in efforts is equally tough and important but as they say, nothing good ever comes easy.      Wanting to change a thing is a noble thought and I am sure all of us want to change to change something whether its in ourselves, in our family, friends, society or even the world in our own unique ways but where and how do we start? It should start within ourselves before encouraging others to do the same thing. We cannot...

MOM: THE UNSUNG HERO

Image
MOM: THE UNSUNG HERO                 Mothers are one of the first indications of the sovereignty of God in our lives. Mothers teach us to have confidence and belief in ourselves. Mothers knew from experience how important for people to believe in themselves in order for children to be whole, strong and grow with a healthy estimation of oneself. A mother is the first teacher and the first friend of her children. She carries her child in her womb for nine months and nurtures her little one with all her heart and soul. She can decipher every gesture of her children since the time they are born. She loves her children unconditionally and guides them on the right path in life. She takes care of her children and ensures their safety in every way. We celebrate Mother's Day to thank our mothers, expressing our love and gratitude for them.            The celebration of Mother's Day first started in the country of Greece...

WE’RE THREE OUT OF FOUR

WE’RE THREE OUT OF FOUR      This quarter, nothing much have change in the way I behave in class. The time management problem that I had on the first quarter, well I'm still carrying it. There is still a lot of cramming of home-works and projects . Oury teacher in ICT said that this second quarter will focus on tags and research, I was so excited. We continued with the HTML and new lessons and tags were added to my knowledge.  I've learnt a lot about tags through HTML, including frame and list tags. This Quarter we also learned about the Community Based Research and my experienced with this was a lot of fun. Me and my groupmates went different places to conduct our research about religions in our community, Bantay. A little short story, we went to this Muslim compound in Balaleng to interview people with the religion Islam but we were afraid to...
