I Learned A Lot (My Reflection)

 What have I Done?
(MY REFLECTION)

           It's been a long time since I attended a face-to-face class and now with completing the first quarter in this school year feels a bit strange. I am more pressured this year than before and I think what my teachers says is true, that I am a grade conscious. I feel like I am carrying a heavy weight on my shoulder.

         This quarter, I was able to learn from a variety of new things from the ICT class and have recalled a lot of things that I already knew before. The biggest challenge in the class for me was time management. This has been my problem since pandemic, or the online classes started. I think I can say that I am a procrastinator and always have been, so completing the given task on time was and still is a challenge for me. I haven't come up for a solution for this problem yet, but I did make changes in my life as to how I can manage time management. I observed myself that it was easier for me to focus on homework if I was outside my room, because when in my room, I would usually mess around on the internet or doze off. 

       Our first lesson on the subject ICT was the history and development of internet. I can say the topic was very interesting because it amazed me seeing how the internet grew every year and difficult the reason being I am not really good at memorizing dates/years and the names of the developers. I learned that the first trial wasn't successful, and it was some kind of trial and error. Then eventually used in universities (Standford Research Institue, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara and University of Utah). After that, host after host was added and millions of people were already using the Internet. I learned how the internet came to the Philippines and who are the proceeding developers. 

        When we are browsing through the internet, sometimes I don't really care what are the websites we are getting information from whether it's reliable or not. But now that I learned about URL (Uniform Resource Locator), I fill my task and research with accurate information. We didn't really tackle or discuss about the blog but the highlight for me this quarter in the ICT class is making our blogs. On making my blogs, I was able to create and write letters on my own and I was able to express myself through the flatform. I like reading but never really good at writing but with the help of this flatform, I can improve my writing and grammars. Although I learned a lot, I cannot enumerate all of those, but I am thankful to my ICT teacher for feeding me more knowledge. Even though sometimes my expectation to my teacher is not what I see or experience.

          I must say that this first quarter was really hard for me because I am still able to adjust after years of being isolated, but I still made through. This is my experience so far in this school and I am really proud of myself because I did my best. So, I am looking forward for the following quarter.
