We're Halfway Through

      Did I learn new things? The answer is yes. Did I have a lot fun? The answer is also yes. This quarter, I was able to learn from a variety of new things from our ICT (Information and Communication Technology. The lessons are familiar because I might have encountered it before but other than a lot of new things was very new to me. Having my friends again throughout this quarter was very fun and enjoyable. 

 

   This quarter, nothing much have change in the way I behave in class. The time management problem that I had on the first quarter, well I'm still carrying it. There is still a lot of cramming of home-works and projects. When we had a lockdown because of pandemic I was able to learn how to code games using the Visual Studio App and I was enjoying it. So, when my teacher in ICT said that this second quarter will focus on coding and tags, I was so excited. We started of this quarter with the HTML and when I deeply learned more about this, I realize this is again a time of new learning and discovery for me.  I've learnt a lot about tags through HTML, including stand-alone tags and paired tags. If text appears between a tag and its partner tag, this are called paired tags. The first tag in paired tags is known as the Start Tag, while the second tag is known as the End Tag. The body tag, the paragraph tag, and the center tag are some examples. Some tags, like the stand-alone tag, do not have end tags since they are designed to insert independent elements into documents or onto pages. The break rule and horizontal rule tags are two examples of this. Adding a background color, background image, font attributes, HTML link, HTML image, and frames are the things I was able to learn and apply. I hope I will carry or remember this up until because I am having a second thought in taking the Computer Science course. 

      The problems that I have encountered during our class is when we were doing the activity involving adding pictures in an HTML file. After I have done entering the tags in the notepad, I opened the file but the pictures I put seems to not appear. Then I doubled-checked if the tags I entered were correct and checked if I did the steps correctly or in order. But then my friend beside me spoke "I think the picture you put was not on your folder because it will appear if it does just like mine", she said. I guess she noticed me struggling. I wasn't quite sure if that was true, but I did what she said, I dragged the photos to my folder, did the same steps in the notepad, clicked save and opened the file. The photos appeared on the page. I thanked her for helping me out. In this experience, I learned that hardships & struggles comes in any time, solving it may take time but just be patient and don't give up; but if you think you can't handle it alone, don't be afraid to ask for help because there are always those people who are willing to, just like my friend. We are halfway through, there is only third and fourth quarter left but it's a long way to go.

       

     

 I can say that this second quarter was a little bit of a hustle for me but I think this is a easier than the first quarter because I was able to adjust with the reality that face-to-face classes is now again happening. This is my experience so far in this school and I am really proud of myself because I did my best. So, I am looking forward for the following quarter. They say, there is always a second chance for you to make a change and there is also a third chance but this I believe this saying is only for our academics but not in a relationship.
