WE’RE THREE OUT OF FOUR
WE’RE
THREE OUT OF FOUR
This quarter, nothing much have change in the way I behave in class. The time management problem that I had on the first quarter, well I'm still carrying it. There is still a lot of cramming of home-works and projects. Oury teacher in ICT said that this second quarter will focus on tags and research, I was so excited. We continued with the HTML and new lessons and tags were added to my knowledge. I've learnt a lot about tags through HTML, including frame and list tags. This Quarter we also learned about the Community Based Research and my experienced with this was a lot of fun. Me and my groupmates went different places to conduct our research about religions in our community, Bantay. A little short story, we went to this Muslim compound in Balaleng to interview people with the religion Islam but we were afraid to enter the compound. The reason being there were a lot of boys at it's entrance, staring and looking at us kind of different. Only three of us were able to come and we are all girls, of course we would be afraid. We waited for 30 minutes and then finally spotted two girls would. It was hustle but we enjoyed it.
The problems that I have encountered during our class is when we were doing the activity involving the list in an HTML file. After I have done entering the tags in the notepad, I opened the file but the content does not really align the way I wanted it to be. Then I doubled-checked if the tags I entered were correct and checked if I did the steps correctly or in order. But then my friend beside me spoke"try using the tabs" she said. I guess she noticed me struggling. I wasn't quite sure if that was true, but I did what she said, I removed the spacings, did the same steps in the notepad, clicked save and opened the file. It didn't work. So she further said "I think you dont have to put a space in it". Then I did what she told me to do so. I sighed in relief seeing the contents or text are aligned the way I wanted it to I thanked her for helping me out. In this experience, I learned that hardships & struggles comes in any time, solving it may take time but just be patient and don't give up; but if you think you can't handle it alone, don't be afraid to ask for help because there are always those people who are willing to, just like my friend.
All in all, I have learned a lot of new things this quarter through my classmate/friends and of course Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz, our ICT teacher. Struggle is simply a part of life. At the end of the day, struggles are inevitable and there's nothing you can do to stop this. We're all going to struggle in life or feel lost at times, whether you like it or not. However, struggle is always what makes the reward much more satisfying.
